THE EVENT
The July 12 ribbon-cutting brought together educators, artists, community leaders, and families from across Chicago to celebrate the launch of a vision 10 years in the making. Founder Rahsaan Liddell, a CPS educator and former foreign expert in China, welcomed guests with a message of inclusion, cultural exchange, and empowerment.
The event featured remarks by Professor Li Jin, Chair of the Modern Languages Department of DePaul University, traditional Chinese performances, and hands-on activities that reflect the essence of Global Pathways: culturally responsive Mandarin instruction, cultural enrichment, and global education rooted in community and Black pride.
